At this point my water was cut off, I had not eatten, and my bank account was negitive. I started to speak, she interupted, I paused, saying nothing. She stopped, I then started to try explain, she interupted. I then said, "Maam, you are at work, this is not how it goes. I speak, you reply, back and forth. She then yelled again " This interview is over" I was tapped on the shoulder by an armed gaurd and told I had to leave. As I left, in complete frustration, hunger, and fear. I said, Sir, tommrow you may want two of you here, I could atleast eat in jail.
What did the woman do that could not even identify a celluar device??? She called Homeland Security and had me barred from ALL offices of Social Security in the country!!!!!!! Federal Agents came to my house, they saw, no water, no food, a negitive bank account and THREE MONTHS of submitted documents I turned in PER there request to complete a simple bank account change. The Agents apologized, told me I was being wronged, open there wallet and gave me $30.00 out his own money!!!!!!

I have been very pleased with both of my experiences at the Valrico office. On my first visit, I spoke with Mr. Hernandez. He was professional, pleasant, and went the extra mile to verify that he was providing me with the correct forms and info necessary to expedite my disability claim. On my second visit, I dealt with Mrs Rodriguez who also was exactly the type of person who should be dealing with disabled and elderly clients--patient, pleasant, thorough, and most of all, reliable. There was some question on the necessity of filling out a particular form that I had not been given. She said she would contact me the next day with the information and she would take the info over the phone if needed. Even though it turns out I didn't need to complete the form, she still called me, as a courtesy, to let me know that my application was complete and was being sent out. I will never again go to the Gunn Hwy office now that I have had the pleasure of dealing with the professionals in Valrico.
I've been calling the Valrico US SS Admin office to make an appointment for over two weeks and the phone line is always busy and you can't leave a message. Extremely poor customer service!!
I am now grateful to banned, I never have to step foot in that office again!!!!!!THANK YOU!!! I do feel she clearly has mental illness in my mind, she functions out of fear. I pitty the people that have to work under this bully. It must be awful. So, in closing, if you are forced to deal with an African American supervizer in her 50's, and you are hungry, without food, and turned in every form they asked for. STROKE her lil tender ego, let her dominate, allow her to make zero apologizes, and definetly allow her to yell!!!! Then you should be ok!!!
My experience at this office was awful. I arrived shortly after 9am on 5/11/17. I didn't wait long at all. However, the lady who called me up was very unpleasant, unfriendly and unprofessional. From the moment she called me up to her window she seemed to not want to assist me giving me a hard time no matter how pleasant I was she still treated me like I was the scum of the earth for no reason. I remained calm and pleasant and told the B.... thank you at the end. I was called to window 1. She should not have a job dealing with the public. You have people from all different backgrounds etc. but I'm willing to bet she would not have had the nasty attitude, hateful demeanor, unpleasantness and unfriendly attitude had it been someone from a different social class/status. Not everyone will take kindly to her tone that she uses towards them. This issue needs to be addressed immediately. She should realize it could be her or her mother on the other side of that glass and I'm sure she would not accept or allow anyone to treat her or her family member with that type of attitude and tone. Such brash, rude and unpleasant manner she should work in the back or perhaps not at all dealing with people. There are plenty of people who need a job and are well qualified and will treat people with the dignity and respect they deserve. Fire her ass immediately!
I feel sad what I am about to share. I am truly grateful for the good people that are effective here. I am FORCED to write this accurate and honest account to my expierence. I asked to speak with a supervizor, this is where I found anger, bully type behavior, excuses, and attepmts to intimidate. I asked to speak with a supervizor because I found I was given reasons and blame for why my regular payment was late, but zereo remedy. The supervizor approached the glass, did not sit, introduce herself, or apologoize for simply the situation at hand. Instead she yelled with her first words, "WHAT IS THAT??? IS THAT A RECORDING DEVICE??? She apparently is not worldly enough to understand what a cell phone is, and may have something truly to hide being so concernd to be recorded...................... In 45 years I have never worried about being recorded, working in the public for DECADES. I replied, "Maam, its a cell phone, I dont even think like that!!!!"
